Rental Terms & Policies

1. Rental Agreement

By renting equipment from Miami Desk Rental, you agree to the following terms and conditions. All rentals are month-to-month unless otherwise specified. Your rental period begins on the delivery date and continues until you provide 30 days written notice of cancellation.

2. Payment Terms

Monthly rental fees are due on the 1st of each month via automatic payment. A refundable security deposit equal to one month's rent is required before delivery. The one-time delivery and setup fee of $49 is due at the time of order. All payments are non-refundable except the security deposit.

3. Security Deposit

The security deposit will be returned within 14 business days after equipment pickup, minus any deductions for damage beyond normal wear and tear, missing items, or outstanding balances. Normal wear and tear includes minor scuffs, light scratches, and standard usage marks.

4. Equipment Care & Damage

You are responsible for maintaining the equipment in good condition. Normal wear and tear is expected and covered. However, you will be charged for:

  • Significant damage (broken parts, major scratches, stains)
  • Lost or stolen equipment at full replacement value
  • Damage from misuse, neglect, or accidents
  • Unauthorized modifications or repairs

Report any damage or malfunctions immediately. We provide free repairs for equipment failures and normal wear and tear.

5. Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your rental anytime with 30 days written notice via email to hello@miamideskrental.com. Your final month will be prorated if you cancel mid-month. Equipment must be returned within 7 days of your cancellation date. Pickup is free within our service area.

6. Delivery & Pickup

Standard delivery is 3-5 business days within Greater Miami. You must be present during delivery and pickup. We require reasonable access to your location and will not be responsible for delays caused by building restrictions, parking limitations, or inaccessible locations. Elevator buildings and walk-ups above the 3rd floor may incur additional fees.

7. Equipment Swaps & Changes

You may request equipment changes with 7 days notice. A $25 service fee applies per swap visit. Upgrades will be prorated from the date of installation. Downgrades will take effect the following billing cycle.

8. Buyout Option

After 6 months of continuous rental, you may purchase your desk setup at the listed buyout price. All previous rental payments count toward the purchase price. Buyout option applies only to desk furniture, not electronics or accessories. Contact us to exercise your buyout option.

9. Insurance & Liability

While equipment is in your possession, you are responsible for its security and condition. We strongly recommend checking if your renters or homeowners insurance covers rented equipment. Miami Desk Rental is not liable for any injury, damage, or loss resulting from use of the equipment.

10. Late Payments

Payments more than 5 days late will incur a $25 late fee. If payment is more than 15 days late, we reserve the right to retrieve the equipment and forfeit your security deposit. Your account will be sent to collections for unpaid balances.

11. Modifications

Miami Desk Rental reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be communicated via email at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of new terms.
